Our Response to the Coronavirus Concerns
Message from Workman Success Systems’ CEO
Last updated: March 24th, 2020

Hi Verl Workman here,
I wanted to personally reach out to all of our coaching clients to let you know that I am grateful for each of you. We have a high level of confidence in your ability to ride out this storm and come out more successful than ever.
One of the topics we introduced at Leverage 20 in January was SBO, this serve before opportunity concept could not be more appropriate and important now as we recognize all of the stress and anxiety that is occurring in the world around the Covid 19 virus. In every adversity there are opportunities to serve and our real estate community never ceases to amaze me on how service oriented our Workman Success community is. I would like to share with you a few thoughts on what I believe our role should be at this time.
First, it’s our role as leaders and parents to keep our families, friends, and communities safe, we do that by staying calm and being an example of stability. Keep your eyes open for people you can serve in your communities. When people react under duress they often make rash decisions, this can be particularly true of real estate transactions. While we don’t know the long term effects of this situation, we do know that this too shall pass, real estate will be in high demand and there will be a lot of catch up by buyers and sellers who want to take advantage of the economic stimulus that is being provided in the form of decreased interest rates, and more.
Second, don’t take your foot off the gas. What I mean by that is we have an incredible opportunity while we are practicing social distancing to continue to do things that will set you and your business up for success. Transactions are continuing to happen every day, virtual showings, virtual listing appointments, and closings.
Third, right now is the best time to prospect for now and future business. Here are a few things to start your week off right.
Take a look at your current Perfect Week Scheduler and update it according to your current needs. When do you need to be there for your kids? Your team? Your clients? When can you close the door and reach out to clients and prospects? It’s critical that you don’t allow the effects of working from home distract you from working on your business and creating full time results.
Work with your coach on your 30 day plan to bring up your operational excellence, working inside of your AMP scorecard will help you stay focused on the areas of business and operations that need your attention.
- Right now start calling through your Top 50: see how they’re doing, do they need anything? How is Covid-19 affecting their day to day activities.
- Next, find Contacts through your next-door app or neighborhood community boards and let them know that you are open for business and there to help.
Julie Timms, one of our Master coaches uses this exact dialog as she is reaching out:
“Hi Joe it’s me, Julie,
I thought of you today and wanted to reach out to make sure you and your family are all ok. Is there anything you need? Do you have any questions or is there anything we can do to help you in these crazy times.
- Then move into F.O.R.D.
- (If you don’t already have their birthdays, anniversaries, and home anniversary dates, this is a great opportunity to get them and update your database
Take care and let’s keep in touch.Stay well my friend.”
It’s important that as you are calling and looking for opportunities to serve, make sure you are keeping your database up to date with notes and anything discussed. Use your workflows, set action plans and schedule the next touch. This will insure they know you are truly interested in them and keep you from dropping the ball in the future.
I promise that while you may have some down time, if you work full time and focus on your business you will find great success rather than starting over 30-60 days from now.
We have an incredible opportunity to get our houses in order so we can serve others. I am confident that great opportunity lies ahead for those who serve and work to help others in times like these when we need it the most. As you are offering support and information please ensure your information is from trusted sources. The CDC website CDC.gov has amazing resources, information updates, and advice.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Workman Success Systems family if you need anything.
Stay safe, and stay focused.Verl Workman
